Studying at Science and Technology (Cert) at Concordia University in Canada:

This is a non-degree program that caters to students who wish to prepare for admission to a degree program in engineering or computer science. It is not intended for students who wish to prepare for admission towards a science program.

Curriculum:

Build your confidence and academic experience before applying to an engineering degree program
The certificate requires the successful completion of 30 credits. The grade in each course must be C- or better for the course to count towards the certificate. A GPA of 2.00 must be maintained to remain in the certificate program.

Minimum cut-off averages and course requirements for admission:

• Quebec CEGEP: 22 overall, 22 math*, 22 science
• High School: C+ overall, B- math, B- phys.
  ACT or SAT is NOT required
• International Baccalaureate (IB) diploma: 26 overall, 4 HL or SL math, 4 HL or SL physics
  Math or physics course must be HL
• Baccalauréat français: 11 overall, 12 math, 12 phys.
  Première: Mathématiques Spécialité
• British system of education (GCE):
  A-levels: At least two A-level exams CD, D in math, D in science or
  AS-levels: At least 4 AS-level exams with equivalent results or
  BTEC: Level 3 Diploma or Extended Diploma in a related subject area with equivalent results
  Students without a math A-level may be admissible based on AS-level or iGCSE/GCSE/O-Level exam results. Students should include all their exam results from iGCSE (or equivalent) onwards to support their application.
• University Transfers (internal/external): C+ overall, B- math, B- phys.

 

English language requirements:

English second language (ESL) course requirement: The Department of Education offers ESL courses to non-native speakers of English who are accepted by Concordia University but who must upgrade their reading and writing skills.

Results must be less than two years old at the time of your application in order to be accepted as proof of language proficiency.
