ABOUT

Studying in Summer English School for Younger Learners (7-12) program at American University in Bulgaria:

The summer courses consist of 60 academic hours taught by a Bulgarian instructor and a native speaker when possible.

They offer general English courses at all levels for children (8-13) and adults (14+) as well as English proficiency tests preparation courses like iBT TOEFL and IELTS. These courses are taught intensively during the summer.

Necessary information:

Duration: 60 academic hours

Levels: 6 different levels

Tuition: EUR 350

Bulgarian citizens and permanent residents as well as their dependents receive a 50% discount. The fee for them is BGN 350.

Discount:

  • 50% Community Discount: For Bulgarian citizens and permanent residents and dependents.
  • 15% Family Discount: For members of a family (spouses and/or siblings) who are enrolled in an ELI course in the same semester. The discount is given only to the student with the higher tuition fee.

Curriculum:

Students receive them at the ELI on the first day of classes.

  • Levels 1-2: BGN 55
  • Levels 3-6: BGN 36

The ELI Summer School for Younger Learners offers General English instruction at six levels – from Primary to Intermediate – to children aged 7 to 12. Each level consists of 60 hours, taught in 3 weeks, 4 hours a day by two instructors. When possible, one of the instructors is a native speaker of English from the USA, UK, etc. For one session of the Summer School a student can complete only one 60-hour level.

Skaptopara I, II, and III are the first purpose-built residence halls in Bulgaria. They house 700 students in single, double rooms and suites.
