he European Master in Sustainable Energy System Management (SESyM) is an initiative of EUREC (Association of European Renewable Energy Research Centers) in collaboration with a consortium of higher education institutions, notably the Hanzehogeschool Groningen (NL), Howest University of Applied Sciences (BE), the University of Zaragoza (SP), Limerick Institute of Technology (IE) and the University of Pisa (IT). EUREC has a major voice in Europe regarding research into sustainable energy and the provision of advice regarding topical energy issues.
In the scope of that assignment, the European Master SESyM is offered to train people to play an active role in the field of energy transition. This has indeed become a transdisciplinary matter in which technological, economic, legal, social and environmental challenges are the central issues.

Students who are studying at Howest university have multiple options for accommodation. Those who have applied to the Bruges campus can reside in The Lodge, which is fairly close to the campus and costs about 350 to 450 euros a month. And the applicants of the Kortrijk campus can stay in The Wing. It is walking distance from the campus and consists of 80 rooms. It has been equipped with facilities like
communal kitchen, bathroom, TV-room, study room, dining room and showers. Along with private toilet and sink. It costs from 315 to 405 euros per month. The cost varies depending on the size of the room.

After Graduation
Students are encouraged to gain professional experience by working while studying. However, the must adjust the time they put into work in a way that their education is not harmed.
