As a bachelor of journalism you can of course work for one of the many media. Radio, television, websites, newspapers and magazines: they are all looking for dynamic, linguistic, and creative employees. Researchers and production talents are also very much in demand.
There is also life outside of journalism. Thanks to your language skills, writing and speaking skills, you can also work in many companies and organizations. You write texts, shape the company magazine, make video reports and provide content for the website.
Finally, thanks to your broad education, you are also eligible for all positions that requires a bachelor’s degree. For example, in the government, but also in education and in many non-profit organizations.

Students who are studying at Howest university have multiple options for accommodation. Those who have applied to the Bruges campus can reside in The Lodge, which is fairly close to the campus and costs about 350 to 450 euros a month. And the applicants of the Kortrijk campus can stay in The Wing. It is walking distance from the campus and consists of 80 rooms. It has been equipped with facilities like
communal kitchen, bathroom, TV-room, study room, dining room and showers. Along with private toilet and sink. It costs from 315 to 405 euros per month. The cost varies depending on the size of the room.
Furthermore, students who prefer to reside privately, have the ability to seek help from the university in order to find Private rooms and flats.
After Graduation
Students are encouraged to gain professional experience by working while studying. However, the must adjust the time they put into work in a way that their education is not harmed. Studying must be their first priority; that is why, according to their student visa, international students are not allowed to attend the courses in the form of part-time. generally, students are able to work up to 20 hours per week.
