The IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) encourages students aged 11 to 16 to explore the connections between academic subjects and the real world. This is done through experiential learning projects that build critical thinking skills.

English language requirement:
As an international middle school, English is the language of instruction at AMADEUS Vienna. Once a solid level of academic English has been attained, all MYP students study German. In addition, beginner Spanish can be studied within the Co-curricular Programme, and students intending to go on to study their mother tongue Chinese Mandarin or Russian can take a pre-IB literature course in their native language. Also, the students must have enough English knowledge and skills to study at this school.
